I came to America 11 years ago not knowing a single thing about investing.

I grew up in Onitsha, Nigeria in a comfortable home. School fees were paid, food was on the table, life was stable. But nobody talked about investing. Money was for spending wisely, saving when you could, and taking care of family. Investing was something for rich people. People who were already ahead.

So when I arrived in America I felt like I had missed a class everyone else attended.

I remember sitting at work listening to colleagues talk about stocks so casually. I would sit there quietly, nodding, pretending I understood. I didn’t. And I was too afraid to ask questions because I didn’t want to sound like I didn’t belong.

Meanwhile life kept moving. Bills. Kids. Sending money home every month because that was never optional. Working hard but watching money come in and go out with nothing building for me.

Until one day I made a decision.

I started investing small consistent amounts from my paycheck into ETFs. No drama. No chasing trends. No trying to outsmart the market. Just steady and simple.

Today I have built multiple six figure investment portfolios.

And I became an Immigrant Wealth Coach because nobody should have to figure this out alone.
